Enjoyed fitting together a puzzle again the other day. It was a Christmas gift from my seven-year-old. A Ravensburger 500-piece puzzle. While the image itself is of eye-rolling quality (terribly obvious photoshop job), the colors are bright and vivid, the differing visual textures of foliage and bird feathers are nice, and the puzzle surface good quality- appears it will hold up to a lot of re-use.
I had fun trying to identify all the bird species depicted: goldfinch, cardinal, titmouse, eastern bluebird, blue jay, robin, chickadee, some kind of warbler, and mountain bluebird (I think).
It looks like it was fun to do despite the quality. Happy New Year, Jeane!
ReplyDeleteYes, I really enjoyed it- first time I actually did a puzzle in a year! It was nice of her to think of it, so I don't mind the picture is a bit laughable- it is pretty, if you don't look too close!
ReplyDeleteI love jigsaw puzzles and was given 4 of them for Christmas.
ReplyDeleteBermudaonion- that will keep you busy for a while! Unless you work them pretty fast...?
ReplyDeleteIt looks wonderful! 500 pieces is about the upward limit of my solo puzzle ability, but it's been a while since I did one. I should get back to it! It does make me feel relaxed and nice.
ReplyDeleteI like puzzles between 500 and 1,000 pieces. 750 is nice too. Over a thousand and it starts to feel tedious!
